Men are also not keen on women who are a slave to trends, with 25% of guys being turned off by girls who wear over-the-top trendy shoes, such as flat brogues or clumpy boots. Don’t worry about forking out for an expensive designer outfit – most men considered designer clothing a waste of money, not knowing the difference between high street and high end.

So what should you be wearing on your first date? The most favored outfit was the classic little black dress, with over 50% of guys loving the look. If something so formal is not your style, a whopping 47% of men also love women in a curve-hugging jeans and top. And don’t forget to keep that make-up natural.
