  • “Hi” / “Hey” / “Hello” – Dude you have already met, she knows who you are and you have already got the awkward small talk out of the way, why on earth are you starting it again? You are giving the impression that you want to flirt, but you don’t know how, or that you are just an epic bore who can’t think of anything to say. Instead of making her do all the work, imagine that all the small talk it out of the way and leap into the conversation with an interesting question.
  • “Why don’t you reply?” / “Are you ignoring me?” – Believe it or not, she has other things in her life than just sitting next to her phone waiting for you to text. Being passively aggressive or needy is not attractive, it’s just embarrassing – it gives the impression that you have nothing going on but waiting for text replies. If she doesn’t respond, wait for a day then text her again. If you still get no respond after a few days of this, her interest in you has probably gone and it may be best to move on.
  • 😉 – The winking emoticon is the mark of the creepy sleaze; putting it at the of any statement, gives it a whole new overly suggestive meaning. For example “I’m watching a movie ;)” looks like I’m watching a rather dirty movie with my pants off – it’s the curse of the wink. If you must use an emoticon make it the smiley face, it suggests a playful nature as opposed to an underground sex dungeon. Of course there is nothing wrong with a bit of sexual banter and playfulness when the mood is right.

So there you have it, some texting tips to get you a step further along with the ladies. Actually, before I forget, don’t use terrible text speak, such as LOL or Gr8, you’re a grown man, act like it and not a 12 year old girl.

Nothing is more creepy that telling a perfect stranger how much you dig certain aspects of their body, it definitely gives of a serial killer vibe.
  • Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit – Have you ever been on a bus or train and someone starts talking to you. You don’t want to talk, but they just wont take the hint and keep on and on. Don’t be that guy, if you are getting mono-syllable answers and she has taken out her book, you have lost. Accept it.

Don’t do any of these things and you might just be OK.
